How AnchorVault is designed to handle private tool records and the steps needed for a secure public launch.
Secure account records
The AnchorVault platform includes server-side logins, email confirmation, protected files and separate access controls for administrators, owners, managers and team members. These features require deployment with a real MySQL database, HTTPS and working email delivery. The article like and comment features on the marketing pages remain local-browser interactions until a live community backend is added.
Before public launch
Configure HTTPS, database backups, SMTP delivery, scheduled reminders, access logs and tested restore procedures. Independent application security review, privacy notices, data retention rules and UK GDPR compliance arrangements must be completed before real users are onboarded.
Your equipment data
Serial numbers, item values and receipts can be sensitive business records. Keep them somewhere suitably protected. The downloadable preview should not be used as your only source of inventory evidence.
Sharing with police or insurers
Only you should decide what information to share and with whom. Reports can support enquiries or claims, but neither recording tools nor providing an inventory establishes theft prevention, recovery or insurance coverage.
