Answered clearly.
A few things worth knowing about digital tool records and the AnchorVault product concept.
What information can I record for a tool?
Each record is designed to include make, model, serial number, purchase date, value, photographs, receipt or invoice, notes and a location. The browser-only demo shows how the entry flow works.
Will AnchorVault work on mobile, tablet and PC?
Yes. The website is responsive, and the intended connected inventory service is designed for modern browsers on phones, tablets and computers. Cross-device synchronisation needs a live account backend.
Can I provide an inventory to the police or insurer?
The demonstration includes a CSV export and a print-friendly report you can save to PDF using your browser. The planned service will provide consolidated, downloadable inventory information that you can choose to share.
Does AnchorVault track the real-time location of stolen tools?
No. It is an ownership and inventory record, not a GPS tracking service. A record can include the last-known or usual storage location, but it does not locate missing equipment.
Does recording tools guarantee an insurance payout?
No. Claims depend on the terms and conditions of the policy and the evidence requested by the insurer. AnchorVault aims to help organise the information you may be asked to provide.
Can I sign up and use an online account today?
The website in this download is a working front-end preview. Actual online registration, user authentication, cloud records and shared commenting need a secure backend and hosting before the site goes live.
Are comments and tool records shared between devices in the demo?
No. Demo tool entries and article comments are stored locally in the browser where you entered them. They are not synchronised or centrally backed up. Please avoid entering sensitive, real tool information.
How do I contact AnchorVault?
Email hello@anchorvault.co.uk. The contact form opens your own email app with your message filled in, rather than submitting to a server.
